The services delivered by the Communities, Economy and Transport department (CET) have an enormous impact on the lives of local people and communities. It’s our role to keep people moving safely and our work touches the lives of virtually all residents and visitors within the county. To deliver this, we are running a collaborative Highways and Infrastructure services contract in conjunction with our Contractor Balfour Beatty Living Places.
As a Contract and Commercial Supervisor, you will play a vital part in keeping our highways safe and useable for the residents and visitors of East Sussex. You will carry out supervisory duties to ensure highway works, such as carriageway and footway resurfacing, drainage works, street lighting and structures, are carried out in accordance to required standards by our Contractor.
You will play an important quality control role in the notification of defective works by undertaking site visits, providing written reports and issuing instructions for searching and rectifying Defects.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
