About the role
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Bursar to join our friendly supportive team at High Hurstwood CE Primary School. We are a small village primary school in a beautiful rural setting in between the towns of Uckfield and Crowborough.
High Hurstwood CE Primary School is a popular school with an excellent reputation. Our motto ('Belong ~ Enjoy ~ Excel') encapsulates what we want for the children and staff at High Hurstwood and also reflects our Christian Values. We are part of a village community and also have close links with our local church.
The role is a for 24 hours per week during term time only, although working hours can be flexible, this will be discussed at interview and agreed on appointment. The post is initially for a year with the possibility this could become permanent after a year.
The successful candidate will:
- have excellent financial, communication, IT and office skills;
- take responsibility for all the school’s finance and personnel.
- be able to work in partnership with the Headteacher and Governors;
- be a team player who is adaptable and supportive in the running of a school.
- demonstrate good knowledge of accounting and financial management
- be able to work under pressure;
- demonstrate good interpersonal skills with both adults and children.
- have experience of working in a school environment (desirable but not essential).
