The Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Subject Leader for Computing on a permanent basis. Applications for both full-time or part-time working will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Computing department, including curriculum planning and assessment.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to engage and inspire students.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing targeted support where necessary.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes equality and diversity.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
- Organise and lead extra-curricular activities related to Computing.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Computing education and integrate them into the curriculum.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proven experience in teaching Computing and GCSE Computer Science at secondary level.
- Ability to program in a high-level language, ideally Python
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for education.

The salary is Qualified Teachers pay scale (MPS / UPS) £31,650 to £49,084 plus £3,391 (TLR2a).
