About the role
The Head Teacher and Governing Body of Battle and Langton CE Primary School are looking for a part time Business Manager to manage the school's finances, HR functions, contracts, procurement and certain aspects of health and safety. The role will have.
Core responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and monitoring an annual budget of over two million pounds.
- Monthly reconciliation of accounts with ESCC, bank statement and P-card
- Ordering resources, processing invoices and BACs payments
- Responsibility for recruitment and HR matters as well as maintaining the single central record
- Line management of a team of office staff, a finance assistant, midday staff and wraparound care staff.
- Purchasing services and maintaining contracts.
- Liaising with the Schools Finance Team of the Local Authority.
- Attending Governors’ meetings to present budget monitoring and expenditure reports.
This is a permanent, term time only role working 4 days per week from 8.30am to 4.30pm (exact days to be negotiated).
As you will be working around children, you will need to have an enhanced DBS check, as well as the usual references to be employed.
Start Date: 3rd March 2025.
