All inspections will be completed in line with the risk ratings and required through the Food Standards Agency Code of Practice. You will be responsible in the main for enforcing food safety, investigating notifications / outbreaks of infectious disease, complaints about food businesses, accident investigations, health and safety complaints, and providing advice to businesses and consumers.\nYou must be an Environmental Health Officer and hold a Certificate of Registration with the Environmental Health Registration Board or equivalent. You must also be able to demonstrate that you have experience of meeting the relevant competencies detailed in the Food Law Code of Practice in respect of inspection of a range of food establishments.\nThe successful candidate will be enthusiastic and committed with a dynamic approach to their work and to providing high quality services, playing an important role within the forward thinking Environmental Health Team.\nThe ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in fluent English is essential in this post.
