About the role
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, creative, resilient and highly motivated Individual Needs Assistant to join our highly skilled team working with our children with EHCPs, to support them to access their learning and ensure our children reach their full potential.
St. Mark’s is a one form entry school, with a friendly, family feel. We are situated at the edge of Kemp Town, close to the Seaside. We are fortunate to have a wonderful school with large grounds. We are a trauma-informed and attachment-aware school, with our children’s safety and wellbeing at the heart of all we do. We have a high level of Pupil Premium and SEND and this is a school where you can really make a difference.
The successful applicants will support high quality teaching and learning, working with children who have complex needs. They should promote the inclusion of all pupils and be able to work on their own initiative, as well as be a strong team player. They will be required to provide differentiated support to pupils during all parts of the lesson, to ensure pupils can access the learning and make good progress.
