About the team
Hertfordshire Trading Standards has proudly provided calibration services for industry since 1989. We are a UKAS accredited laboratory for the calibration of class E2 weights from 1mg to 20kg and class M2, M1 and F2 weights from 1mg to 25kg. We offer other non-UKAS services including calibration of mass, length and capacity measures.
About the role
As the Head of Metrology Laboratory, you will be leading the testing and calibration of weighing and measuring equipment across the full range of mass, length, and volume.

- To manage our calibration services and the laboratory to ensure the delivery of a profitable and excellent service.
- To maintain our UKAS accreditation by following operating procedures and take remedial action following any recommendations from internal or external audits.
- Have a keen eye for detail and produce quotations for calibration customers; provide accurate test certificates / reports after calibration in a timely manner.
