Semi Skilled Labourer

We are recruiting 2 Semi Skilled Operatives at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 37 Hours (7.24 Monday – Friday)
Contract Type: Full Time/Fixed Term for 18 Months
Location: Ty Penallta

This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Caerphilly Homes Team.

We pay an attractive salary of £24,790 - £25,183 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

Caerphilly Homes maintain over 10,600 homes within the Caerphilly Borough providing a customer focused reactive and planned service and are now looking to expand the team.

You will become part of a dynamic team delivering reactive repairs/planned maintenance works to our homes.

The successful candidate must have an excellent work ethic, evidence you have the relevant trade qualifications, demonstrate a good sound knowledge of building maintenance, good communication skills, a dynamic approach to the role and be able to lead by example. We pay an attractive salary and offer access to training and career development opportunities.

For the role, we ask that you have:

• The ability to complete an accredited Building Craft Training Scheme or work based assessment.
• Knowledge of associated building trade practices relevant to the level of training received (i.e. Semi-skilled).
• Relevant experience within a contract environment for refurbishment, installation or new build environment.
• Full Category B (Cars) driving licence
