Planning Degree Apprentice

Hours: 37 Hours per week

Salary: SK2 (currently £23,694 per annum)

Contract: Fixed Term

We currently have an opportunity for a degree apprentice to join our Planning department. You will be employed by SKDC, and you will attend a university to complete a Chartered Town Planner (Degree) (Level 7). The course will be accredited by the Royal Town Planning Institute and would lead to you successfully becoming a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute. This opportunity allows you to learn whilst you earn a salary, and you will complete the degree without paying any tuition fees. After completion, SKDC will pay the professional body membership fee.

Your time away from university will be spent rotating through different placements including enforcement, policy, development management and planning support. You will have the opportunity to utilise the knowledge learnt throughout your studies and apply them in practise during your placements. This opportunity will enable you to develop the skills, knowledge, and experience to kickstart your career as a planning professional.
