Head of Regulatory Services

Harborough District, in rural South Leicestershire, is a wonderful place to live, work, invest in and visit, with around 98,000 residents and covering 228 square miles.  We pride ourselves on the diversity of our landscape and have two historic market towns alongside farms and fields, larger villages and smaller rural settlements.  Around 100 parishes contribute to a real sense of local identity and pride.

We are looking for an accomplished and proactive leader for the role of Head of Regulatory Services.  Your experience of managing regulatory services will help you to provide strong leadership to our experienced teams, and your expertise in the range of key services will ensure you can support both officers and elected members to make the best decisions for the council and our communities.

This role is pivotal in the delivery of a range of important areas including affordable and private sector housing and homelessness, environmental health, licensing, and emergency planning. In addition, we are seeking a candidate who can provide expert advice and guidance on creative and innovative approaches to service delivery. You will be an inspirational and inclusive leader that creates a positive environment where everyone can be themselves and can fulfil their potential.
