The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Administrative Assistant to join our Health and Safety Team to cover maternity leave. As a team we are responsible for developing and implementing health and safety practices and performance that drive compliance across the authority.
In this role, you will carry out a range of activities working within detailed Health and Safety Team procedures and processes to support the work of the service.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate files and databases following guidelines and as directed
- Co-ordinate Health & Safety training programmes, including scheduling, logistics and record keeping.
- Assist with administrative records to ensure compliance
- Prepare documents for use in meetings.
- Respond to queries from others and provide relevant information or escalate as appropriate.

About You
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about working in a supportive administration role and who possesses the following skills and experience:
Essential Criteria:
- Prioritise what is important in line with team and service goals
- Have a good understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft office programmes such as Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint etc.
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work accurately and maintain confidentiality
Desirable Criteria:
- Be a good team player
- Ability to engage with employees, managers and partners
