Are you a dedicated and experienced Social Worker with a passion for promoting independence and making a difference in people’s lives? We are currently seeking a Senior Social Worker to support Island residents in achieving the quality of life they desire, while living independently in the community they call home. As part of our integrated team, co-located with health colleagues, you’ll enjoy the benefits of shared knowledge and collaborative working.
About the Role:
As a Senior Social Worker, you’ll play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations and supervision of adult social care staff. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising and supporting qualified Social Workers.
- Quality-checking and auditing work completed by your team.
- Allocating and approving work while providing expert guidance and advice.
- Ensuring compliance with legislation and safeguarding practices.
You’ll be supported in your role by the Team Manager and be instrumental in providing supervision, leadership, and practice guidance to help your team excel.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking someone with:
- Significant experience in social work.
- Supervisory skills, such as those gained as a Practice Educator or Mentor.
- A commitment to promoting independence and empowering individuals.
