Lessons finish for students at 1:30 pm on a Friday.\n \nWe are seeking to appoint an exceptional practitioner who is innovative, motivated and enthusiastic to join the Design and Technology department. Design and Technology is a popular subject that offers the study of Product Design at GCSE and A Level. The department has been academically successful at GCSE and A Level for several years and the school is looking for someone to build on this success.\n \nThe department is well resourced with 3-D printers, laser cutters and high quality I.T systems as well as a dedicated workshop and support technician.\n \n \nFor April/ September 2025, our 2IC Design Technology will be:\n<ul>\n<li>An innovative teacher to lead a key area of the Design Technology Department</li>\n<li>High expectations of students in terms of learning, achievement and behaviour</li>\n<li>Enthusiasm for developing innovative approaches to learning, teaching and student participation</li>\n<li>The learner at the centre of their vision</li>\n<li>The ability to inspire, challenge, motivate and empower our students to achieve</li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge of the DT National curriculum at KS3 and KS4.</li>\n</ul>\n \n \nWhether you are currently in a leadership role or looking to make the next step-up in your career, this post is an excellent opportunity for someone to really make their mark and become part of our committed team at Norlington School and 6th Form.\n \nPosts will be subject to a Prohibition check for all roles involved with the management of pupils.
