Job introduction

Contract: Part time, term time only, 8:15 – 15:15 Monday - Friday, (32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year); fixed term until 31^st March 2026 (with possibility of extending)

Salary: RET band 1 (scale point 3 – 7, depending on experience), £23,656 - £25,584 per annum, pro rata (actual salary £18,008 -£19,476)

Start date: 22^nd April 2025 or sooner if possible

King’s School is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our hard-working and highly motivated team.  They will work in the SEND team to undertake support programmes to facilitate learning of students.  The role will involve working with a range of students on both a one-to-one and small group work basis, inside and outside of the classroom.  Please see the attached job description and person specification for more information about the role.

King’s School is an ecumenical Christian School in the Diocese of Chichester, for years 7 to 13. The school opened its doors to its first cohort of students in September 2013; moving to its permanent site, a purpose-built facility for all areas of the curriculum, in September 2019. There are currently just over 860 students in years 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12, and a team of over 90 teachers and support staff.
