We would also like you to work three mornings to provide TA support in the Year 3/4 class.  You would work 8.30 am – 12pm in the mornings and then 1pm-3.30pm in the afternoons.  There may also be opportunities to provide class cover at other times on a claims only basis.</p>\n\n<p>The successful candidate will:</p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Be enthusiastic and committed to developing the whole child, both personally and academically.</li>\n\t<li>Have a good level of literacy and numeracy skills and knowledge.</li>\n\t<li>Feel confident working both with individual pupils and larger pupil groups.</li>\n\t<li>Be patient, calm and truly listen to and value children’s views.</li>\n\t<li>Demonstrate versatility and flexibility.</li>\n\t<li>Be able to maintain confidentiality.</li>\n\t<li>Have excellent motivational and communication skills</li>\n\t<li>Be someone who is determined and resilient, calm under pressure and with high expectations of themselves</li>\n\t<li>Be creative and the ability to think differently to inspire children to learn</li>\n\t<li>Someone with a positive approach to behaviour, firm and fair and rigorous in following up positively</li>\n\t<li>Have integrity, tenacity and enthusiasm to fulfil the role</li>\n\t<li>Have experience in a classroom supporting the Class Teacher as well as working independently with small groups of children</li>\n\t<li>Be an excellent Teaching Assistant with high expectations for welfare of pupils</li>\n\t<li>Participate fully as an innovative member of our team</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p>The children at Nutley Primary School are motivated and eager to learn.  Staff are supportive of each other and leaders offer guidance, coaching and excellent professional development.
