The Opportunity

We are looking for a GIS Officer who will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth administration of the Street Naming and Numbering (SNN) function and the development and maintenance of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) for the council.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive innovation and shape how we deliver this essential service, working closely with key stakeholders such as the Royal Mail, developers and statutory bodies. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the full SNN process, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and collaborating with a range of teams to collect and manage essential data.
Your day-to-day duties will include managing requests, dealing with customers, and maintaining the highest standards in addressing.
