As a CCTV Operator you’ll seek to make our district safe through monitoring and proactive patrol via view screens. You’ll be responsible for operating the Control Room equipment such as cameras and radios and therefore clear communication is vital. You’ll ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, CCTV code of practice and operational control room procedures.
You’ll also answer any out of hour’s emergency calls to ensure that they are dealt with effectively and if required you will implement the Council’s 24-hour emergency call out arrangements.
A key part of this role will be communicating clearly and concisely as well as being able to act efficiently and calmly in emergency situations.
This role works on a rotating 7-day week shift pattern including nights, weekends and Bank holidays (including Christmas) which is 37hrs week.
Please note that appointment is subject to completion of a DBS and police checks before commencement of employment.
