What You’ll Be Doing
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Procurement Specialist (Procurement Project Manager) to take the lead on complex procurement projects at the Council. In this role, you will guide projects from initiation through to contract implementation, ensuring that maximum savings and efficiencies are realized while maintaining high standards of quality in the goods and services procured.
Reporting to the Category Manager within the Supporting Communities Directorate, you will be responsible for driving commercial strategy in key areas of spend, including capital investment projects, construction, repairs and maintenance, and property management services. You will utilise your expertise to develop and deliver category strategies across various services while managing the procurement processes in line with public procurement legislation.

You are a skilled procurement professional with a strong background in managing complex public sector projects, particularly within the construction and facilities management areas. Your ability to work independently and effectively engage with service leads will enable you to challenge and inspire teams to meet financial and operational goals. You will be providing expert advice on procurement legislation and internal policies. Driven by a commitment to continuous professional development, you understand the importance of growing both personally and as part of a wider team.
