New Steine Mews Step Down service is funded by Better Care health funding and BHCC in partnership with Arch Healthcare to create seven Step Down beds at New Steine Mews Hostel.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the support offered to vulnerable homeless people in the City.The provision is managed by NSM staff with clinical input from Arch staff and relevant care packages for each resident.

The service objectives are:
1. to provide outstanding care for people who are discharged from the Royal Sussex County Hospital whilst homeless or inappropriately housed.
2. relieve pressure on acute services by unblocking beds and reducing re-admission to hospital.
