You will conduct wellbeing checks for each customer you deliver to, and promptly escalate any welfare concerns.</p>\n<p>This service assists customers to remain independent in their homes for longer, enhance their quality of life, and promote health and wellbeing.</p>\n<p><strong>Community Transport duties</strong></p>\n<p>Working to a schedule in a purpose adapted vehicle, you will be responsible for transporting eligible customers to shopping trips, medical appointments, and social activities within the Guildford area.</p>\n<p>All Transport drivers will receive MIDAS training to ensure that passengers are safe at all times. We have customers that use mobility aids, wheelchairs, and live with other mobility impairments. Our aim is to help residents remain as independent as possible in their community and to reduce isolation.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Vehicle responsibilities for Community Meals and Community Transport</strong></p>\n<p>You will be responsible for performing daily vehicle checks, ensuring that vehicles are clean and refuelling or charging vehicles as needed.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Working Hours</strong></p>\n<p>This contract is for 32.5 hours per week contract – fixed hours of work.  Salary band will be calculated pro-rata for 32.5 hours.</p>\n<p>The position is five days a week, working one weekend in every four, on a fixed rota basis.</p>\n<p><strong>Re</strong><strong>quirements</strong></p>\n<p>You will be required to drive a specially adapted vehicle and to comply with UK Government requirements applicants must:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>be 21 years or older</li>\n<li>have had your full valid UK driver’s licence for at least two years</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The post is subject to DBS checks for the successful candidate prior to appointment. </p>\n<p>Suitable candidates will be expected to comply to company policies including those related to customer privacy, health and safety, and food hygiene.
