Are you looking for a rewarding role within Luton Rising, the Luton Council group company that owns London Luton Airport and is at the forefront of delivering Luton's inspiring 2040 vision? This role could be for you!
We're looking for a proactive, detail-driven Asset Manager to join our team and help steer the development of the Luton DART's asset management journey.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a transformative infrastructure project, where your skills will directly contribute to the long-term performance, reliability, and integration of this strategic transport system.
What you'll be doing:
We are looking for a candidate with recent experience managing a broad range of asset types-such as Civils, Mechanical & Electrical, Fire, and Communications-particularly in environments where collaboration with external contractors plays a critical role in achieving operational success.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven ability to work effectively with a diverse group of partners and stakeholders. Experience in developing and operating within, or progressing toward, an ISO 55001-compliant Asset Management System is essential.
Strong partnership and community working skills are key to this role. We're seeking someone who can engage with stakeholders and partners with enthusiasm and drive, showing a genuine passion for understanding and delivering shared objectives. You should be comfortable sharing knowledge, valuing others' expertise, and maintaining constructive, trust-based relationships both internally and externally.
You'll need to be able to influence and guide people at all levels of an organisation, including those within contractor teams, even when you don't have formal authority. Relationship-building is central to your success, and you'll be expected to strengthen our culture of trust, collaboration, and transparency.
Visible leadership is also crucial-this means having the confidence and presence to inspire high performance, articulate a compelling vision, and motivate teams and individuals to achieve it.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities are vital. You should be able to assess complex situations, identify the key components and implications, and develop clear, practical solutions that lead to sound decisions and outcomes.
A good understanding of ISO 55000 standards and how they are applied in practice is required. Candidates should possess a degree in an Engineering discipline with some relevant work experience, or alternatively, have significant experience within the Asset Management industry.
