An exciting post is now available for a Finance Assistant - Accounts Payable, Adult Social Care to join the Exchequer Team, to play an important role in the exchequer finance function at Bracknell Forest Council.

About you...
The Finance Assistant is a key member of the Exchequer Team, playing a vital role in supporting the council’s ability to deliver essential services.
Working within a highly respected finance function, you will contribute to the team’s strong professional reputation across the organisation.
You will bring hands-on experience in both accounts payable and debt recovery, taking responsibility for ensuring prompt and accurate payments to suppliers. As well as the effective collection of outstanding debts from a diverse range of customers, including businesses and individuals.
As the Finance Assistant, you will be part of a six-person team helping to process an average of 1,500 invoices each month, demonstrating accuracy, efficiency, and a commitment to high-quality financial operations.
We offer a flexible work style, although we expect all team members to attend the office at least one day a week, or when required. You will be required to attend the office each day during your training period.

The finance function is at the heart of the organisation and is proud of the professional standing it holds within the organisation. The Exchequer Team is the engine room of the department and plays a fundamental role in ensuring the council can deliver services.
Key responsibilities...
- Processing of adult social care invoices through the adult social care finance system (ContrOCC).
- Respond to queries from suppliers.
- Registration of invoices into the council’s financial information system (Agresso).
- Assist with the scanning of documents into the council’s financial system or shared folders.
- Assist with incoming and outgoing mail and other general administration duties.
- Support with queries on invoices for individuals supported by Adult Social Care.
- Assist with the Exchequer Team at times of pressure, or as directed.
- Such other duties that may, from time to time, be assigned compatible with the nature of the post.
