We encourage family and friends to visit regularly and share in their loved ones' lives where possible.</p><p>This might include sharing time in our communal lounges or quieter spaces, or if the weather is good, sitting in the garden. We also enjoy themed parties and events to<br>mark special occasions and welcome people to these. We also support and encourage people to access their local community if they wish to.</p><p><span><strong>Key Skills</strong></span> (These will be used as the shortlisting criteria, please detail on your application how your experience demonstrates these skills and which role it relates to)</p><ul>\n<li>You are able to interpret information, such as service complaints, and redirect them to the appropriate person to provide quick and accurate resolution.</li>\n<li>Good communication and interpersonal skills</li>\n<li>You will show the ability to deal appropriately with expressive behaviour from the people we support, and respond sensitively to their families and carers.</li>\n<li>Confident in building relationships with people from a wide variety of cultural, religious and ethnic backgrounds.</li>\n<li>Enjoy working as part of a team completing shared tasks as required.</li>\n</ul><p><span><strong>Qualifications and/ experience</strong></span></p><ul>\n<li>Basic literacy and numeracy skills, in order to record and document activities in the provider plans.</li>\n<li>Basic understanding of the needs of the people we support and their rights as an individual.</li>\n<li>Demonstrable successful experience of working as part of a team.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of Health and Safety practice, First Aid and Fire procedure, Manual Handling - Desirable</li>\n<li>NVQ 2/Diploma in Care or equivalent qualification - Desirable</li>\n<li>Previous experience of working in a care setting and with people who have a disability or are vulnerable - Desirable</li>\n<li>Previous experience of running group activities - Desirable</li>\n</ul><p><span><strong>Rewards & Benefits</strong></span></p><p>As an employer we recognise that it is our employees that are central to everything we do.
