West Northants is still a relatively new Council, making it a really exciting time for talented individuals to join our Learning and Development team while our processes are still being shaped. You will support the effective and efficient implementation of our people strategy through the design and delivery of Organisational Development & Learning initiatives, including apprenticeships.

Day to day, you’ll be providing support to the Learning and Development team to deliver an effective apprenticeship service. You will be responsible for managing learner details on the Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS) account, and support on the procurement and contracting arrangements for new training providers. You’ll report on apprenticeship data across the council and use this to feed into discussions to improve our service.
You will be working closely with the L&D Advisor for apprenticeships to ensure contracting requirements are met through monitoring the quality of providers and contract spend from the DAS. You will also work closely with the L&D Assistant role to provide resilience to the wider team and the whole learning and development offer.
You’ll be working alongside the wider HR team to ensure that a cohesive HR solution is delivered to the business and analysing the wider HR and Learning and Development data to support targeted apprenticeship initiatives, ensuring that the apprenticeship offer is aligned to the delivery of our People Strategy.
About youThe successful candidate must have:
Extensive knowledge of apprenticeship programmes and Digital Apprenticeship Service account
Experience of working with data in spreadsheets to produce reports
A professional curiosity and the ability to look for creative solutions
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A customer centric approach
Ability to respond to changing business needs
Strong problem-solving skills
