We are looking to recruit a motivated and committed individual who will build capacity and capability across local authorities, housing associations, business and communities to support a grant funded housing decarbonisation programme. </p>\n<p>Working closely with the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) your primary focus will be on domestic buildings where you will lead on providing technical advice on retrofit delivery and manage a knowledge programme for stakeholders. </p>\n<p>The Retrofit Technical Officer will promote best practice, share technical knowledge and engage with the regional supply chain for services and technology solutions. You will play a key part in supporting domestic social housing decarbonisation across the Northwest. Part of the Northwest Net Zero Hub programme, you will assist in growing the capacity of the region to act on Net Zero. </p>\n<p>The Northwest Net Zero Hub Team is a group of project development and energy and environmental sector professionals who lead on some of the most exciting and transformational projects across the Northwest. The Team is based within the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority working with partners across the Northwest. </p>\n<p><em> </em></p>\n<p><strong>About the person</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>• You will have a passion for the net zero agenda, </li>\n<li>• You will be an expert in domestic retrofit including retrofit compliance, delivery and relevant technologies (e.g. heating and energy efficiency)</li>\n<li>• You will understand the delivery of retrofit and are able to navigate regulation, certification, procurement, contracting and the supply chain.</li>\n<li>• You will be experienced in stakeholder communication and knowledge sharing, where a key part of the role will be to promote best practice and engage with a large consortium of local authorities and social housing organisations.</li>\n<li>• You will have a relevant degree or HND/HNC with a minimum of 3-years relevant experience</li>\n<li>• You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of technical/ building and domestic retrofit and to be able to identify solutions for low carbon transition from evidence-based processes</li>\n<li>• You will be an effective communicator presenting work clearly</li>\n<li>• You will understand how your work contributes to the wider impact on local people and the economy</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>If you think you match the job description and our values then click on the link to apply, indicating how you meet the person specification.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>About the organisation</strong></p>\n<p>The Liverpool City Region is world-famous for its history, culture and creativity.
