Are you proactive and hardworking with excellent communication and interpersonal skills? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Safer Neighbourhood Service as a Glass Works Warden in a new team in Barnsley town centre.  </p>\n<p>The Safer Neighbourhood Service is a diverse team focusing on a range of statutory and non-statutory functions including, but not limited to community safety, anti-social behaviour, environmental crime and blight and all tenure housing management and regulation.  </p>\n<p>The main aims of the role will be to:  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work closely with a range of stakeholders to reduce and prevent crime and anti-social behaviour.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Engage pro-actively with those involved in anti-social behaviour and identify those responsible.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Discharge a broad range of summary enforcement powers in a proportionate and professional manner including any powers delegated by the Chief Constable.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in the planning, preparation and execution of targeted initiatives as directed including campaigns and planned deployment approaches.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Liaise with local businesses and visitors of Barnsley town centre.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide an ambassadorial role within the town centre offering support where applicable and required. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>You will provide a visible and reassuring presence, engaging with customers, staff and visitors, and responding to any incidents or issues that may arise.
