About the Post:
Following recent service transformation, we have an exciting opportunity to appoint to three Economic Regeneration Project Manager posts in the Economic Development team.
The team are responsible for delivering the Council’s ambitious and exciting Economic Regeneration portfolio of projects, largely capital schemes, all for the purpose of improving the welfare and wellbeing of the residents of the borough.
About the role
Working within the Economic Development Unit the postholder will be involved in delivering all stages of the project management lifecycle.
You will be working with colleagues from within the council, other public and private sector organisations and commissioned consultants, to develop and deliver capital projects through to completion.
You will also work with a range of stakeholders including senior managers, Councillors, developers and infrastructure providers to coordinate and deliver projects.
The postholder will adopt a hybrid / agile approach to working arrangements allowing for home working alongside a central office location.

Relevant experience and skills
· Proven experience working in a project management environment
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, facilitation and negotiation skills.
· Able to research, collate and analyse data.
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
· Experience of advising and negotiation with a cross section of stakeholders including management teams and external partners.
Although previous Local Government experience, in a similar role, would be advantageous it is not essential - we would encourage someone with a private sector background to consider the position too.
