Teacher (MPS)

The Governing Body of Shocklach Oviatt CE Primary - a small, rural school with a strong love of developing the whole child - are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed teacher for children in year 5 and 6, to cover a maternity leave. The successful candidate will begin in September.

The candidate must have QTS. The candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to apply their own initiative, be organised and manage time effectively as well as adapt activities to meet individual children’s needs.

The successful candidate will be joining a friendly team, who work within a strong Christian ethos.

Our school community places the highest priority on keeping our children safe.  Applicants for all posts will be subject to stringent safeguarding checks and induction processes. It is an offence to apply for the role if the applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity. The holder of this post will be required to work with children under the age of 18 in a position of trust, and is, therefore, exempt from the Rehabilitation of offenders Act 1974. The successful candidate will complete an enhanced DBS and will have responsibility for safeguarding along with all our staff.
