We are recruiting a Human Resources Officer at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 37 Hours (7.24 Monday – Friday)
Contract Type: Full Time/Fixed Term for 24 months
Location: Ty Penallta /Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider People Services Team.
We pay an attractive salary of £34,314 - £37,035 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
The postholder will be responsible for the effective delivery of the HR service across the Council by providing timely advice, guidance and support to Managers, Headteachers and employees on a range of people management issues.
The role is customer facing and HR Officers will be working with Managers at various levels across the Council including Directors, Heads of Service, Headteachers, employees, Elected Members, Members of Governing Bodies and trade unions.
The successful candidate will also undertake and, where appropriate, lead on project work commensurate with the level of the post including assisting in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures as well as practices and procedures to improve the efficiency and delivery of the service.
For the role, we ask that you have:
- A relevant Level 3 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
- Current working knowledge of employment law.
- Two years’ experience of working within a Personnel / HR service area within the last five years.
- Must be willing to travel both within and outside of the County Borough.
