We are currently looking to recruit a Principal Library Assistant for Barbican Library. This post plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the smooth running of the library by supporting the library manager through creating daily timetables, financial and business support. You will also be working with our Development Team to support reader development activities. You will work as part of a team to deliver these services and will also be expected to work on the public desks as necessary.
To be successful in this role, you will need excellent customer service skills with experience of working in a library/information environment. Excellent IT skills are also essential and an education to GSCE level and/or an equivalent appropriate vocational qualification.
We are looking for someone who is well organised, excited by change and is enthusiastic about delivering the best customer service to internal and external customers. If you feel you have the requisite skills and would like to join our team, then we'd love to hear from you.
