Learning Resources Manager/Librarian
(Maternity Cover from end of February 2025)
The Governors seek to appoint a dynamic and self-motivated Learning Resources Manager to cover a period of maternity leave from 24th February 2025. The successful applicant will develop and maintain the school Library as a vibrant area for reading, individual study and supporting students. The school is committed to improving reading skills and inspiring a love of reading for pleasure and the ideal candidate would play an integral part in this strategy. The library currently achieves this through clubs, competitions, and events as well as a strong team of enthusiastic student librarians. The learning resource manager also works closely with the English department to facilitate reading lessons and support students.
Priory School is well regarded and is consistently oversubscribed. Our aim is for Priory to be the leading inclusive and creative state secondary school in the region, a school in which all students acquire powerful knowledge, feel a strong sense of social connection and belonging, and become ethically-aware citizens who are ready to confidently take their place in the world. Our school also aims to reflect the uniqueness of Lewes, historically and socially.
The actual yearly salary is £22,314 to £22,668 for working 37 hours per week, term time, plus 5 extra days in the school holidays. (40 working weeks, 46.20 paid weeks a year). The actual salary is based on Single Status Grade 5, Points 12 - 13, £25,183 to £25,583.
