About the Post:
Do you love spending time outdoors, working in green spaces and talking to people?
Barnsley Museums we are looking for a new Heritage Parks Assistant to help continue our award-winning work at Cannon Hall Museum, Park & Gardens.
Working with our gardening team on site, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of our outdoor spaces.
Your job will be to help keep the park looking clean and tidy by picking up litter, emptying bins, and checking equipment is safe. You’ll also help set up for events and keep an eye on the car park and carpark machines.
With over 900,000 thousand visitors each year, your job will also involve working with our volunteer team and talking to our visitors in the parklands to answer questions and provide directions, working on a rota that will include regular weekends.
