You will be the main legal adviser for this project.</p><p>You will provide legal clearance to the committee reports dealing with all affordable housing matters.You will have management responsibility for a Conveyancing Officer supporting aspects of the programme and you may be required to provide supervision to other, more junior, lawyers and trainees.You will co-ordinate any external legal advice commissioned for the project and cover for the Legal Services Manager as appropriate.</p><p><strong>About you:</strong></p><p>We are looking for an experienced senior lawyer to join our busy, friendly, legal team. </p><p>Previous experience in the relevant areas and knowledge of local government law are essential as you will be expected to hit the ground running with a substantial caseload.</p><p>You will be an excellent team player and organised with strong client-facing skills and the ability to pro-actively meet key deadlines in accordance with the Council’s Delivery Plan for the Affordable Housing Programme.</p><p><strong>Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council</strong></p><p>Our CORE values – Collaborative, Open, Responsible, Excellent – guide everything we do.</p><p>We are located in Welwyn Garden City, just 25-30 minutes by train from London Kings Cross/St Pancras.
