These are school-based sessions, for primary classes mostly from year 3 to year 6, although there may be opportunity to work in other year groups. The learning focus is on general musicianship leading into a specialist instrument. Primary placements will include <i>MX Strings</i>, a project focussing on violin and cello tuition, but successful tutors may also be asked to lead or support on <i>MX Play</i>, which involves voice, recorder, djembe and glockenspiel musicianship lessons to students beginning their musical journey. Lambeth Music Service is looking for a Violin teaching specialist to join its team of highly skilled educators working in Lambeth schools and music centres.
