Are you passionate about supporting young minds and making a real difference in the classroom? We’re looking for a dedicated, experienced, and caring Assistant Psychologist to join our fantastic team!
What you’ll be doing:
- Support and enhance the psychological wellbeing practice and access to education within the service.
- Support the wider clinical and pastoral team as appropriate.
- Work directly with children and young people and provide psychologically based support/training to school and as determined by the identified needs of the children and young people (as appropriate to level of training and competence).
- Build positive relations with parents/carers to encourage family involvement in their child’s progress
- Maintain accurate notes, records and evaluations where appropriate, baseline and intervention reports and take a lead on the collection of the routine wellbeing outcome measures.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience working in an education setting, working with students with Special Educational Needs – especially Autism (ASD), Attention Deficit, Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and dyslexia/dyspraxia
- The ability to tailor your skills to meet the needs of each individual child
- Someone who is kind, caring and patient when dealing with children who require specialist support
- A team player who will uphold the mission, values and goals of Wings School Notts
- A can-do attitude
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for education and helping students thrive
- Someone who is able to commute to Newark

Who are we?
Our school supports children aged from 9 to 17 years old who are on the autistic spectrum and are struggling in education and to fit in at mainstream or other specialist settings. Pupils will have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) but may not have a diagnosis however display traits of autism and associated conditions.
Wings School Notts is part of Kedleston Group. We specialise in providing specialist education and care for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
