A part of this work includes the inspection and assessment of the vehicles as well as ensuring that any driven are in a roadworthy condition. All driving that is carried out within this role will be done so by you in a safe and controlled manner.<br><br><b>About the role</b><br><br>The post will be based at the busy hub of Fleet Management and will involve a variety of tasks relating to daily fleet operations. The majority of these tasks will be associated with Wheelchair accessible vehicles collections and deliveries; however Integrated Transport Unit covers a wide variety of additional day-to-day duties.<br><br><b>About you</b><ul>\n<li>\n<strong>Driving Qualification</strong>: Must possess at least a D1 entitlement.</li>\n<li>\n<strong>Team Player</strong>: Ability to work well in a team and independently. Must be adaptable to change and have strong interpersonal skills for interacting with customers, the public, and colleagues.</li>\n<li>\n<strong>Physical Fitness</strong>: Must be physically fit to meet the demands of the job.</li>\n<li>\n<strong>Flexibility</strong>: Willingness to adjust start and finish times (core hours are 8:30-16:30, with a 16:00 finish on Fridays) in case of breakdowns. Flexibility with annual leave in coordination with fleet staff is also required.</li>\n<li>\n<strong>Manual Handling</strong>: Ability to safely perform manual handling tasks, understanding and applying safe techniques.</li>\n</ul><br><br>This job role is within the Operational Services, level OPS4 job profile.
