Come and join the Mental Health Social Work Team- Runcorn/Widnes and Older Person’s CMHT in Halton. We are a small local authority which does not take long to travel across the borough. Halton is close to motorway networks including the M6, M62, M56 etc. We have a base in Vine Street Resource Centre- Widnes and The Brooker Centre- Runcorn- this offers flexibility to the team. Halton Borough Council also provide a generous car user allowance and a flexible working week. The Mental Health social work team works with adults, who meet the criteria in line with the Care Act and require support in relation to their mental health. We work closely with our Mental Health Trust colleagues to provide a responsive, holistic and recovery focussed response to adults with complex mental health needs.
We are a well-established and stable team with supportive management. The managers in the team are experienced AMHP’s who will offer support and guidance. Our team has a mixture of experienced practitioners all willing to support new members to the team. We are a friendly and welcoming team. We are looking for an experienced social worker who has experience working in mental health in a community setting. Preferably we are looking for qualified Approved Mental Health Professionals- however for the right candidate we are willing to consider those who are passionate about the role and would like to train to be an AMHP in the future.
