A key part of Tower Hamlets great history and its current Cultural offering are our distinctive and historical High Streets. Across our High Streets and Town Centres we not only hav emany high street names, but also small and micro businesses many owned by Tower Hamlets residents.
Main duties will include:
Leading the development and delivery of the detailed programme of work to support the Borough’s High Streets and Town Centres. The programme should contribute to the achievement of the Council’s key strategies and maintain an appropriate balance of revenue, capital and partnership development activity. Ensure outcomes maximise opportunities for local residents to share in success and prosperity and positively contribute towards the health, wellbeing and quality of life of surrounding communities.
Support the Manager of Markets and Town Centres to deliver the Growth and Economic Development Plan by, initiating, developing and sustaining effective, strategic joint working with stakeholders and businesses to ensure innovative, successful resolutions are found to complex multi- agency issues in high streets and town centres.
Effectively manage the High Streets and Town Centre team, in line with council procedures, to deliver programmes, meet agreed targets and support the vision and priorities of the Growth and Economic Plan.
