About the role
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Regulatory Services team - Food, Health and Safety in this part-time post. The post holder is expected to undertake a caseload of proactive and reactive complaint handling and enforcement work to meet statutory and service requirements. Also, to take the lead in developing and implementing food safety and health & safety alternative enforcement and projects, including safety promotions, advice, and commercialisation initiatives. The flexible working pattern might include working evenings and weekends for up to 10 hours daily, or to visit businesses or events which are not necessarily open during the normal 9 to 5 office hours.
This is a hybrid role with practical food businesses visits within the city and district for some of the time and the remaining time hybrid working either from home or at the main offices in St Albans. You will manage your own workload, and your working hours can be negotiable to suit your other commitments.
About you
You must be fully qualified Environmental Health Officers and be EHORB registered or with equivalent demonstrable relevant experience in Food Safety (FSA competency framework matrix) and Health and Safety enforcement.
