Hours: 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks a year
The Governors and Head of School at Barnton Community Nursery and Primary School wish to appoint a Higher Level SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team. This position will be for 32.5 hours per week and is term time plus inset days.
We are looking for a friendly, caring and motivated person with plenty of energy who can join our hardworking team in supporting teaching and learning in our Primary Resource Provisions for children with complex communication and interaction needs.

The successful candidate will:
- Have experience of working with children with communication and interaction needs and appropriate strategies to support them.
- Have relevant experience of working with children in a higher-level teaching assistant role.
- Hold at least a level 3 qualification in childcare or teaching support.
- Demonstrate high expectations of individual achievement and behaviour.
- Be creative and enthusiastic.
- Have good organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Have flair, talent and initiative.
- Demonstrate a commitment to raising standards.
- Be able to work in close partnership with the whole school community.
