The Kitchen Supervisor leads and supervises a team that plan, order and prepare varied, nutritious and appetising meals for service users as part of the care offered to them. This includes ensuring service users receive a well balanced diet that meets their individual needs, including special diets, cultural and religious needs.
To have delegated responsibility for the management of the catering budget and ensure supplies are obtained that offer value for money.
Ireland Lodge is a Residential Care Home for people with dementia and is regulated by CQC. It is an exciting time for Ireland Lodge, as we are currently undergoing renovation work for 11 new bedrooms, and need to increase are staffing level, you will manage and supervise the kitchen team and work along side the team in preparing a varied nutritional diet, this can include catering for clients with soft diets, special dietary requirements, food as treatment, you will also have responsibility of preparing menu and management of the catering budgets,

We are recruiting for an experienced Kitchen Supervisor/Chef to work at Ireland Lodge, 31 hours a week,shift pattern on a permanent contract

The postholder will be required to provide 24 two course meals daily for a vulnerable/older group. The postholder will be expected to oversee the day to day work of the kitchen porter and plan balanced menus within a tight budget as well as maintain high standards of cleanliness and kitchen hygiene in line with legislation and our own procedures.
