About the role
Manor Primary School is a large two form entry school in Uckfield. We have a fantastic group of children who come to our school, a large and welcoming staff team and a supportive wider school community. We are looking for an Individual Needs Assistants to support a child with SEN. The role will be based within our High Needs Facility, joining a team of Individual Needs Assistants, supported by the HNF Lead and the Senior Leadership Team. Your time will be spent supporting the child in the classroom as well as in the HNF for some sessions. There is also the opportunity to add hours to the contract, by supporting the children in the HNF at lunchtimes. The contract will be from Monday to Thursday.
Previous experience of this kind of role will be an advantage but not essential. The successful candidate will be someone who is kind, patient and able to take time to develop positive relationships with the children you work with. You should be someone who enjoys being positive and encouraging children, resilient and able to adapt quickly to changing situations. You should have good literacy and maths skills. Above all, the successful candidate will be committed to making a positive contribution to the school life of our pupils.
