If you want to lead a team to provide therapeutic support to young people and their families' then get in touch!<br><br><b>About the role</b><br><br>We support young people who have experienced childhood trauma, and we work with them and their families to help stop young people entering the care system.<br><br>Our support is carried out both in our residential short breaks home based in Welwyn Garden City and in the family homes across county.<br><br>You will be part of a team of professionals (including an education adviser and therapists) putting in place intensive care packages to help young people who have complicated needs, helping them to build secure attachments and become self-reliant.<br><br>As a Senior Worker in the team, you will lead on shifts and provide support and guidance to the team of Short Break workers.<br><br>You will oversee the planning of interventions and stays alongside Senior colleagues and Management.<br><br>You will provide supervision to residential workers, supporting them to reflect, develop and progress.<br><br>This role requires working shifts including, evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleeping in overnight. Shift Hours are 14:00 to 23:00, sleep in, then 07:30 to 15:00 as well as some office-based hours 09:00 - 17:00<br><br>This role includes a 6% MUSHA payment due to unsociable hours.<br><br><b>About you</b><br><br> <strong>Essential</strong>:<ul>\n<li>This senior position requires experience and confidence of working with young people and adults, along with leadership and supervision skills.</li>\n<li>It is essential that you can use full range of Microsoft Office / and other applications.</li>\n<li>A full UK Driving licence and access to a vehicle on a regular basis.</li>\n<li>Ability to work shifts inc weekends / bank holidays and sleep ins.</li>\n<li>You must at least 2 years' experience of w orking in Residential or with Children and families. </li>\n</ul><strong>Desirable</strong>:<ul>\n<li>A NVQ Level 4 in Residential Care Qualification is desirable however if you don't have this we will fund and support you getting this. About the role
