This role is to ensure the children in the youth justice cohort can access quality education provision and the necessary support to progress in education, training and employment. Research shows high aspiration and good education engagement reduces the risk of children entering the youth justice system while also supporting desistance.</p>\n<p>You will be part of a multi-agency team working closely with education and training providers and Education & Inclusion colleagues to remove barriers and create solutions for children in the youth justice cohort to access and engage in education. This will include working with colleagues within Careers Connect, Education Welfare, SEND, Virtual School, Admission and Behaviour & Inclusion teams as well as others.  You will be required to undertake face to face engagement with children and their families, advocate the needs of the child across a variety of platforms, deliver individual and group teaching and participate in the delivery of a wide range of YJS activities on both an individual and group work basis.  You will also contribute to the development and implementation of a range of effective solutions to youth crime.</p>\n<p>You must have a passion for working with children and the ability to think creatively in responding to changing needs. You will have excellent communication and assessment skills, the ability to motivate, encourage and inspire children to learn and engage in education.
