What’s the role?
Housing Services Directorate is looking to appoint a Tenancy Management & Resettlement Team Leader to effectively manage the Tenancy Management & Resettlement Team responsible for the council’s temporary accommodation functions, housing management of temporary accommodations, homelessness decision making, move on and resettlement in to permanent accommodation.
Successful management of this service area will ensure we deliver a high quality, customer-focused approach to housing management and continuous improvement and efficiency in the service delivery. In addition you will ensure the service reduces the levels of rent arrears in temporary accommodation, ensure we proactively contribute to the council’s action plan to reduce the number of households in temporary accommodation.

What we’re looking for
We are seeking an experienced Manager/ Team Leader with a good working knowledge of managing temporary accommodation, housing management, Part 6 & 7 of the Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Act 2002 and Localism Act 2011 and its application. You must have knowledge and understanding of the activities, functions and processes involved with issuing DOD, NTQ and Possession orders along with knowledge of Landlord and Tenant Legislation, the Housing Act 1985 and Protection from Eviction Act 1977.

Location
Whilst the service is primarily based in Laurence House, Catford, London, SE6 4RU we operate a hybrid approach whereby you may be required to work both in the office and from home as determined by service requirements.
Special conditions
- Attend ad-hoc meetings in evenings or weekends, as required.
- Undertake Out of Hours Duty on a rotating basis each month.
- Undertake Duty Manager role within the reception area.
- The job is subject to a Basic DBS check.

Salary
£47,628 - £49,638 per annum (P03).
N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
