Candidates should hold their BC (Paddle UK) Paddlesports/SUP Instructor Award (or equivalent), RYA Dinghy Instructor, Climbing Wall Instructor (previously CWA), Archery GB instructor or British Fencing Core Coach award.
Dinton Activity Centre is a thriving local authority centre based with Dinton Pastures Country Park. The centre handles a footfall of around 20,000 people per year, so the place is very much alive during peak season. We have a fleet of 30 sailing boats and 90 canoes, kayaks and paddle boards. On land we have a low ropes course, bush craft area, a rock climbing and high ropes facility, two orienteering courses and a mobile climbing tower.
As an Instructor, you will support the delivery of activities such as taster sessions, school/youth group events, corporate days, school holiday activities and BC/RYA/NICAS courses. You will work alongside Lead and Senior Instructors to deliver a diverse activity and education program. Other responsibilities may include assisting with boat hire, offsite events, centre maintenance, and general administration / reception cover duties where necessary. Though your work we will provide opportunities for you to accelerate your personal development, providing you with knowledge and training to grow into a fully qualified and experienced instructor.
If your application is shortlisted for an interview, you will be required to provide proof of your right to work in the UK at that stage. Additionally, successful candidates must present proof upon receiving a job offer.
Please note that all offers are conditional and subject to the satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks.
Benefits include: Flexible hours, holiday pay, training opportunities and use of equipment.
Closing date: 21st Feb 2025, 11pm
