Job Introduction
HGV Drivers needed to drive Waste Collection vehicles for Brighton & Hove City council. This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly team at CityClean to ensure our communities receive a great service so that we can make a real difference in our city!
You will:
- be responsible for leading and supervising a small team of Operatives ensuring they complete their tasks and health and safety regulations are adhered to when undertaking the collection of refuse and recycling.
- undertake daily vehicle inspections and providing customer focused service to complete the removal of household, recycling and other designated waste from a variety of locations.
- maintain respectful working relationships and communicate with politeness and courtesy with both colleagues and members of the public.
- ensure all relevant council policies, procedures, values and behaviours are understood and followed.
Requirements:
- an HGV C CATEGORY Drivers Licence
- a valid CPC card
- Management/supervising or relevant experience

Salary Breakdown
Basic Salary at Scale 6: £31,067 to £32,654 (working 37 hours per week)
Total Salary : £34,415 - £36,175 (for working 37 hours a week and additional 4 hours contracted overtime).
Plus market supplement (reviewed annually)
Plus the opportunity to work overtime and Bank holidays for RSG enhancements.
It is essential that you to have a HGV C CATEGORY Drivers Licence and a valid CPC card.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
