We are looking for a Strategic Adult Safeguarding Officer, on a full-time, fixed-term contract until 31st December 2025 or secondment basis for internal candidates. This exciting opportunity has become available as the current holder has been promoted internally to the Interim Head of Safeguarding on secondment basis.

Join us as a Strategic Adult Safeguarding Officer and make a real difference. You will play a pivotal role in promoting and embedding a high-quality strategic and operational approach to safeguarding adults across Adult Social Care by balancing government, national and local directives.
About the team...
Reporting to the Head of Safeguarding, you will be working alongside a team of experienced and knowledgeable safeguarding professionals which comprises the following four teams: Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS), Strategic Adult Safeguarding, Bracknell Forest Safeguarding Board Business Unit and the Child Death Overview Panel Team. This creates a dynamic environment requiring a mix of strategic thinking, collaboration and compassion. Key responsibilities...
Alongside the current Strategic Adult Safeguarding Officer, you will:
- Chair all Adult Social Care safeguarding meetings for consistent safeguarding practice.
- Support and advise Adult Social Care operational teams in delivering person-centred strengths-based safeguarding responses.
- Monitor Adult Social Care safeguarding systems and processes and identify areas for improvement or learning that emerge.
- Design and provide adult safeguarding training programs for Adult Social Care operational teams, ensuring alignment with national competency frameworks and addressing key safeguarding risks and issues pertinent to the local area.
- Attend, contribute and participate in a range of multi-agency safeguarding forums.
