The role will also be pivotal in supporting the and development of local policy across the Housing Options Service, taking into consideration the Housing Policy context, statistic evidence-based research (both nationally and locally) and best practice.\nThis post is temporary for 24 months with a possible extension subject to funding. The hours of work for this position are 37 per week, working Monday-Friday 9-5. This post is based at Lancaster Town Hall\nThe Council currently operates an excellent Flexible Working Hours Scheme which applies to this post. Subject to the needs of this business, this may allow employees to work between the hours of 6:00am-10:30pm.\nYou may be required to undertake Standby duties to cover out of hours work. \nFor internal applicants, this role will be considered for a secondment opportunity. The secondment of an employee from another Service can only take place with the agreement of the Manager of the Service the applicant is contracted to. When this role comes to an end, the successful internal applicant will return to their substantive role.\nLancaster City Council has unanimously declared a climate emergency and will therefore work towards reducing carbon emissions to net-zero by 2030.
