You will be fully supported and mentored as you develop your skills and knowledge in this career grade post.<br><br>The small Electoral Services team fosters a friendly, collegiate and supportive physical and remote working environment. The team is based at the Town Hall, with a mix of home and office-based working. We offer flexibility to the team and to our new recruits. However, you will need to be able to work more flexibly (and more on-site) around election time.<br><br>This is a politically restricted post for the purposes of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989. The post holder is therefore unable to take part in political activity as defined in current regulations published by the Secretary of State.<br><br>During the elections and referendums there will likely be a need to work additional hours including evenings and on rare occasions weekends and working through the night for a Count.
